ARTISANS

In 2013 while living in Kathmandu, Nepal, Kristin, owner of The Two:Thirteen Shop helped three of her friends Lhakpa Lhomi, Sonam Lhomi, and Sijok Lhomi start a company called, Blessed Hope Nepal. The women wanted to create a company that provided fair wages to women of the community, remain ethical, and above trade. Today Blessed Hope Nepal stands as the first ethnic Tibetan women-owned business in the community of Kathmandu and the sole provider of beautifully handcrafted seed bead jewelry for The Two:Thirteen Shop. With the help of many women including Kristin, Blessed Hope Nepal has grown into a place where local women find opportunity, creative work, skills development, training, and hope. Artisans practice and perfect the intricate art of seed bead crochet which is the foundation of the business. Over the years as the artisan's skills have developed so has the design collaboration between the artisans and The Two:Thirteen Shop.
