If you know anything about the special needs community, you know there are abundant options and services for young children. But children grow up. As they transition to adulthood, opportunities become scarce—jobs are limited, and meaningful daily activities are hard to find.
When we relocated in 2021, we had to rebuild our community from scratch in an unfamiliar place. A few years later, we met Kristin Parker, owner of The Two Thirteen Shop. She saw potential in Anna Kathryn and offered her real opportunities to contribute. Through that work, Anna Kathryn discovered a sense of purpose and achievement. More importantly, she found a passion she's eager to share with others. She's genuinely grateful for every purchase and the chance to do work that matters.
A little about Anna Kathryn
Anna Kathryn is a young adult who has spent most of her life with pretty significant challenges but you wouldn't know it in talking to her. She is quite possibly the most optimistic and encouraging person you will ever meet. She's organized, hard working, dependable, and self-driven. She loves Jesus, pickle ball, spending time with friends and family, and listening to music. Every purchase gives her a sense that she's bringing someone else joy!
